A British man has tragically passed away after falling from the sixth-floor balcony of a hotel in Spain.

The local newspaper Diario Sur reports that the country’s National Police are currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of the 37-year-old in the Costa del Sol town of Torremolinos in the early hours of Wednesday.

Multiple calls were made to emergency services alerting them to the man’s fall from the hotel balcony. Paramedics rushed to the scene but, unfortunately, were unable to save his life.

Investigations by the police have revealed that the man was staying at the hotel with his wife and two young children, both of whom are under the age of 10.
