Three men have been arrested by police in east London in connection with the death of a woman. A 35-year-old man is being held on suspicion of murder, while two others, aged 21 and 22, are being detained on suspicion of assisting an offender, as reported by the Metropolitan Police on Sunday.
An investigation into the woman’s death in Chadwell Heath was initiated by detectives following the incident early on Saturday morning.
Following reports of an assault at Chadwell Heath Lane around 5.30am, police and the London Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the woman was pronounced dead on-site,» the police stated.
Although the victim has not been formally identified, law enforcement believes she was in her twenties. Initial investigations by the Metropolitan Police indicate that the incident was isolated and the individuals involved were acquainted with each other.
The family of the deceased has been notified and is receiving support from trained family liaison officers.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in the near future. Detective Superintendent Brian Hobbs is urging the public for any assistance, stating, «Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends during this tragic time. While arrests have been made, local residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as our investigation continues.»
