It also highlights the vulnerability of the boat to high winds, with gusts exceeding 70 knots (80.05mph) on the day of the incident, factors that were unknown to the owner, British tech tycoon Mike Lynch. Tragically, Mr. Lynch and six others, including his daughter, lost their lives when the yacht sank during a storm off the coast of Sicily.
